Yesterday afternoon, my family celebrated our Thanksgiving with too much food, a drive by our city’s big downtown Christmas tree, and a showing of Elf at the movie theater. I know, I know. Yesterday was Wednesday. We always celebrate on Wednesday, because while the whole country seems to be upset by store employees having to work today, casino employees like my husband have always worked on holidays.
I’m so grateful for so much. I’m grateful that my husband has a job to get up to go to this morning. That his parents moved to be near us this year and were able to spend our Thanksgiving with us yesterday. I’m beyond grateful that I can walk into any of the bookstores in my city and find a book there that I wrote. That’s — it’s still hard for me to believe. I’m not even sure what I’m going to do about New Year’s resolutions this year, since “get published” has been pretty much it for resolutions for my entire adult life.
That’s a problem I’m grateful to have.
Rebel Nation is due to my editor on Monday. I’ll be working hard today and all weekend to get it as perfect as I can–for me and for her, but really, for you. I’m so grateful to you for giving Viral Nation and a new author a chance. I want to give you the best sequel I can. Thank you for your support and your encouragement. Thank you for helping me make my dreams come true.
